Hi there,

February is shaping up to be a busy month, with new courses, refreshed email templates, platform updates, and our latest What’s New at Phriendly Phishing webinar. Everything we’re releasing is designed to help reduce human risk and strengthen cyber resilience across your organisation.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, we’re launching our Protect your digital footprint in a world of GenAI campaign. From catphishing scams to increasingly convincing deepfakes, attackers are exploiting trust, emotion and personal data more than ever. This month’s campaign highlights these people-led threats and helps teams understand how everyday online behaviours can affect privacy and security.

Protect Your Digital Footprint

Protect your digital footprint in a GenAI world

Every post, click and upload adds to your digital footprint. In a GenAI world, that information can be reused in ways most people never expect, and scammers are increasingly using AI and publicly available data to target organisations through their people.

To help your team build safer digital habits, we’ve created a practical guide that breaks down how digital footprints are exposed, the modern risks driven by GenAI, and simple steps employees can use straight away to reduce cyber risk.

Spotlight New Courses

Our growing course library supports a wide range of security awareness needs across different roles and environments. Below are a few newly released courses, and we encourage you to explore the full catalogue to find content that best fits your organisation’s needs.

Credential Harvesting

Credential Harvesting

Credential harvesting is the cybercriminal practice of stealing login details such as usernames, passwords, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) tokens, or session cookies. These credentials are used to gain unauthorised access to systems, networks, or data.

NZ Information Security for HR & Finance

NZ Information Security for HR & Finance

Human Resources (HR) and Finance staff play a critical role in maintaining information security within an organisation. These teams handle large volumes of personal, financial, and sensitive business information, making them frequent targets for cyberattacks and social engineering threats.

Latest Platform Updates: Automation and Workflow Enhancements

Automated Actions: Phish Clear & Block List in Automation Rules

We’ve expanded Automation Rules to include the Phish Clear and Block List functions, enabling faster, more consistent responses to phishing incidents. By embedding these actions directly into automated workflows, teams can reduce manual intervention while maintaining full administrative oversight of automated behavior.

This capability is configured at the zone level. Global Admins can enable Automation Rules and associated actions for each zone through the Settings page, providing flexible control while streamlining common phishing response scenarios.

Templated Email Responses

Respond faster with new templated email responses in Phish Focus. Admins can now choose or customise pre-built replies to user-reported emails, cutting down on repetitive typing and keeping communication consistent.

Together, this means less manual effort, less strain on admins, and faster resolutions, especially when working through high volumes of routine reports. Templated responses will also be coming to Automation Rules soon.

Importance of Whitelisting.

Whitelisting is essential for ensuring the successful delivery of simulated phishing emails during your security awareness campaigns. It is a great time to check your whitelisting details to stay up to date with any changes. Please review our following guides to ensure you have done all requirements
